Greetings!

         Allow me to introduce myself.  My name is Jon Partlow and I am the Preaching Minister for the Pennyrile Church of Christ.  I have been associated with Pennyrile Church since March 2001.  As a native of Portland, Oregon, I went to college in Searcy, Arkansas and spent twelve years ministering to churches in Tennessee. 

My wife, Cile (short for Lucile), is a native of Carthage, Tennessee, and we’ve been married since 1988.  My relationship with her is an anchoring point to my life, and continues to be the main influence for enduring and sustaining my ministry.  As an active person volunteering at the local schools, she stays in contact with our children’s education including, serving two years as the Pride Elementary PTA President.  Since the beginning of the 2006 school year, she has been the Lead Teacher for our church’s preschool program. 

 We have three children; a daughter, Taylor and two sons, Jonathan and Matthew.  Between homework, band, cross country/track, Cub Scouts, baseball, and Lads to Leaders (a ministry of Pennyrile Church of Christ) our children manage to keep us busy.  Family life is a priority for us. 

 My education includes a Bachelor of Arts from Harding University, a Master of Divinity from Harding University Graduate School of Religion, a Master of Education in Storytelling from East Tennessee State University, and a Doctor of Ministry from Harding University Graduate School of Religion. 

Among my interests is storytelling, playing golf, reading John Grisham novels, and watching/reading The Lord of the Rings.  Since 2001, I have begun to “bleed blue” for Kentucky Basketball.  Cile and I both lead our boys’ Cub Scout dens, and I have helped coach Jonathan’s baseball teams. 

 That tells you a little bit about me, but let me say a word about the Pennyrile Church of Christ.  This is an exciting place to worship and to grow spiritually, as I have been associated with this church since March 2001.  The people here are committed to glorifying Jesus, to Scripture, to prayer, and to building relationships with each other.  If you are at this website in hopes of locating a group of people to worship God, we’d love for you to be a part of our family.  For more about Pennyrile Church, give me a call, drop me an e-mail, or click on the different menu files on this website.
